What country are you from and where do you live? 

I live in Limburg, Belgium

Title of what you do and what company you work with? 

I am a proud Salon owner of The Studio by Sevda and I am a European Color Design Team member of Joico Europe. Joico is the brand that I work with.

Education background (Hair school, salons, self taught)? 

I have been to the hairdressing school in Belgium and then started to work in the salon. I love education so I still go to seminars (in the UK and the US) to upgrade my skills and to get inspired.  I have a creative mind and I like to come up with new ideas as well and share this with other people

What is your signature style/artistic expression to your work?

I am a creative colorist and I have a great passion for styling. I love creating concepts.

Do you have a career turning point or big break that has helped your career?

What helped me a lot is when I joined the JOICO European Design Team. We are with a big team of creative people and we inspire each other a lot. Sharing is caring.

What was your scariest and proudest moment?

Both feelings at the same time. This was when I moved to a bigger salon. It is super scary because of the unknown, but I am very proud of it now. I was scared to lose clients, but people will always follow you wherever you go because of who you are and what you do.

What is next for your career goals? 

I would love to become first a global artist and in the future combining it as a creative director.

What advice would you give to someone starting out in your business?

Do it with PASSION or not at all!
