“The fashion show exceeded my expectations, much larger than I had imagined. With a full house, it was an emotionally charged event. Bárbara Fialho’s performance was outstanding! I could hear people sighing at the collection and her radiance. I’m confident this collection represents Brazil and will expand Brazilian fashion into the international market. I’m very happy and grateful,” commented Lucas Anderi.

In the latest Paris Fashion Week Spring/Summer edition, Lucas Anderi’s brand emerged as the only Brazilian-origin label gracing the runways. On September 30th, the fashion designer unveiled a unique collection inspired by Carmen Miranda. The runway show took place at the Maison de L’Amerique Latine, a venue that has previously hosted fashion shows from renowned brands such as YSL and Christian Lacroix.

This occasion also marked the designer’s debut in the evening wear fashion segment, given his international recognition for bridal creations. “It’s something I’ve always wanted, and this was the right moment and place. I’m confident that I presented a collection of evening dresses that doesn’t exist in Brazil yet,” stated Lucas Anderi.

With a soundtrack by Bárbara Fialho, the runway show featured 25 dress models in vibrant colours like green, cherry, grape, and black. Fabrics like crepe, taffeta, and mikado were used, and the designer incorporated intricate floral handwork, unconventional embroideries, and exaggerated bows into his designs. The runway also showcased shoes from the Daniel Valadares brand and jewelry from Maria Motta.

International Brand

Lucas Anderi was the first Brazilian designer to showcase at the Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week. Similarly, he was the first designer in the Brazilian bridal market to design for a French Maison, Cymbeline. In 2016, Lucas also hosted a runway show in Oman.

Given this new experience at Paris Fashion Week, the designer hopes to open more doors in the international market. “Walking the runway abroad offers many opportunities! I do have that intention because I believe I can easily expand the brand in the Arab market,” he stated.
