“I love all facets of this phenomenal industry.  I’ve always known I’m meant for the beauty industry.”

Alexandria Scaramuzzo

What country are you from and where do you live?

I live in Toronto, Canada.

Title of what you do and what company you work with?

I am a licensed hairstylist and trusted beauty professional with fourteen years of experience.

Education background (Hair school, salons, self taught)?

I’m a lifelong learner! I have formal education in hairstyling, makeup, aesthetics, medical aesthetics and as a Certified Holistic Nutritionist (CNP). My nutrition education is specializing in clean beauty, it also allows me to dive deeper into optimal hair and skin care!

I consider myself a pioneer of mobile beauty having opened SHE SPEAKS HAIR Mobile Hair Salon in 2012. It’s been a thrill to see in-home/on-site mobile beauty evolve over the years in all categories.

I love all things business! I am a true entrepreneur at heart and have learned all my business skills along the way throughout my experiences in the beauty industry and through meeting so many phenomenal people.

What is your signature style/artistic expression to your work?

I’m known among my clients for hair colour and extensions…Mermaid waves! I take pride in listening to my clients and creating a hair colour, style, etc. that exceed their hair goals.

Do you have a career turning point or big break that has helped your career? What was your scariest and proudest moment in your career?

I really feel the pandemic has caused us all to think and rethink our lives (both personally and professional) 100 times over. For me, it has allowed great clarity and solidified by gratitude and love for the beauty industry. I know I’m made for this industry.

What advice would you give to someone starting out in your business?

As a beauty professional never stop in the pursuit of mastering your own craft!  While you are providing services, you are also studying people. Speak and listen to your clients.  They really are your best teachers. Surround yourself with people who love you and believe in you.  Treat your business and craft like you would your best friend. With love, kindness, gratitude, patience and unconditional support.  Community over competition, always.  Be your own biggest fan! And, if you feel like you need a fan, call me- I’ll cheer you on!
