“I’m known for delivering immaculate, well-prepped gel manicures that exude classic elegance for most clients.”

Rebecca Costanzo

What country are you from, and where do you reside?
I was born and raised in Toronto and still live in the city.

Title of what you do and/or what company.
I currently hold the role of Brand Development and Education Manager at Bio Sculpture Canada.

Education background (school, salons, self-taught)?
I pursued a traditional academic path, earning a degree in psychology alongside a college diploma in Fashion Marketing and Entertainment. Regarding nail expertise, I exclusively trained with Bio Sculpture Canada. My choice was clear – I sought the best nail products and techniques from the start and never looked back.

What is your signature style/artistic expression of your work?
My primary focus with my clients is enhancing the health of their natural nails while helping them achieve their desired nail aesthetic. I personally enjoy experimenting with the latest trends and pushing my creative boundaries. However, I’m known for delivering immaculate, well-prepped gel manicures that exude classic elegance for most clients.

What is the most fulfilling job you’ve worked on or someone you have worked with?
What truly gratifies me about my role is my unwavering passion for Bio Sculpture and my profound belief in the products. As for working with clients, the most fulfilling moments come when I witness their amazement at the transformation of their nails, not just in aesthetics but also in their newfound enthusiasm for the brand and nails in general.

Do you have a career turning point, big break, or person that has helped your career?
Undoubtedly, the pivotal moment in my career occurred when I joined the Bio Sculpture Team as Manager of Brand Development and Education. I have to thank Erica, the CEO of Bio Sculpture Canada, for giving me the opportunity. Now, I get to fully integrate my passion for marketing, brand development, and beauty into a single, fulfilling career.

What is next for your career goals?
Looking forward, I’m eager to witness the growth of Bio Sculpture in North America. I’m really passionate about spreading the word on the value of keeping up with ongoing education. There’s always room to enhance your skills and pick up something new. I also want to continue to educate about the importance of proper nail care. More people should be aware of the risks of misusing nail products. Even if you’re just doing your own nails, like I started out doing, working with gel involves dealing with chemical systems. Getting educated is critical to using these products safely and achieving the desired results.

What advice would you give to someone starting out in your business?
To those just starting out in this business, I’d emphasize the importance of maintaining the quality of the products you choose to work with. Pursue your passions, find your niche and create your own journey. Additionally, staying on top of industry trends is crucial in this ever-evolving field. Keep pushing your creative boundaries, and never stop learning.
