TONI&GUY Delivers Architectural Precision for Paul Costelloe AW26

At London Fashion Week on Thursday, 19 February, Paul Costelloe presented AW26 as a defining moment for the house. Under the creative direction of William Costelloe, the collection honored legacy through a lens of structure and modern authority. Backstage, the hair narrative was entrusted to Cos Sakkas, Global Creative Director of TONI&GUY, alongside the TONI&GUY Session Team.

A Study in Sleek Precision

Sakkas led the team in crafting a look that mirrored the collection’s tailoring-led debut with sleek control and disciplined structure. Hair was smoothed to a high shine finish and drawn back into a low, sculpted chignon positioned precisely at the nape. The result was an architectural silhouette that echoed the strength of the garments.

The chignon was not romantic. It was deliberate. Clean lines framed the head with clarity, reinforcing the strong shoulders and sculpted proportions that defined the runway. Every strand appeared considered, aligning seamlessly with the meticulous cuts and layered construction within the collection.

Hair in Dialogue with Tailoring

William Costelloe’s first collection as Creative Director served as an emotional tribute to his father while asserting his own perspective through bold proportions and precise construction. Structured coats, corsetry, and sculpted silhouettes were balanced by moments of fluidity in silk and organza blouses. Oversized collars swept upward, and wide pleated trousers introduced movement.

The hair direction responded in kind. The controlled chignon provided contrast to flowing fabrics while reinforcing the authority of tailored pieces. Its refined surface reflected the collection’s polished and purposeful aesthetic. Rather than competing with the garments, it anchored them.

The Finish Behind the Form

The hero product backstage was LABEL.M Fashion Edition Hairspray. Used to secure the shape while maintaining a luminous sheen, it ensured that the sculpted finish held under runway lighting without compromising sophistication.

What distinguished this hair moment was restraint. There was no excess embellishment. No unnecessary softness. The focus remained on structure, shine, and silhouette.

At Beauty Hub Magazine, we see Paul Costelloe AW26 as a masterclass in cohesion. Under Cos Sakkas’ direction, the TONI&GUY Session Team translated tailoring into hair form with precision and authority. The message was clear. When fashion speaks in structure, hair must answer with architecture.
