I am from the US and currently live in Fredericksburg, Virginia.

Education background (school, salons, self-taught)? 

I began my career in Southern California, where I attended cosmetology school and spent over a decade as a stylist behind the chair, taking continuing education classes. In 2016, I moved to the Boston area, where I discovered my passion for education. 

What is the most fulfilling job you’ve worked on or someone you have worked with?

Honestly, the role I am in now has been the most fulfilling chapter of my career. I have the amazing opportunity to combine my love of education with my passion for styling. This allows me to share the science, innovation, and artistry behind ghd with professionals and consumers daily. The joy of helping others grow and feel empowered in their craft is incredibly rewarding.   

Do you have a career turning point, a big break, or a person who has helped your career?

There hasn’t been one big break or one single person; it has been a journey of small steps and hard work. I have been fortunate enough to learn from countless mentors who have each passed on knowledge and inspiration that led me to the place I am today. 

What advice would you give to someone starting in your business?

Don’t wait for someone to hand you the perfect opportunity. If there isn’t a path to where you want to go, you may have to create it.  This industry is beautiful and constantly evolving. Find the thing that fuels you and deep dive into it; never stop learning. There is room for every kind of talent in beauty, which is what makes it so incredible.
