Beauty Match by Centred

Connecting new clients with high end beauty service providers, salons and spas.

In our current challenging times of getting an appointment with our beauty professionals, industry vetran Joel Mallet has created an app to connect clients with the pros.  Modelled after the concept of dating apps, Beauty Match by Centred will connect a potential new client to beauty professionals within their GPS vicinity.  This is ideal for clients who travel and are looking for a blowout or a manicure in their new city, while beauty professionals benefit from these brand new client relationships.

These high end beauty pros will be handpicked by Beauty Match by Centred to offer the best luxury experiences to new clients.  The service list includes any type of services you would like to offer from cuts to color, blowouts, makeup, mani, pedi and more.  Your profile would include information and an image of yourself as well as your work or studio space.  As a beauty pro you dictate and control your pricing after your conversation with the client using the app.  Your ideal client will discover you and the app will help with all your communication, booking and payment needs.  It’s like having your own personal receptionist and “Head Hunter” (punn intended) combined.

BeautyMatch was acquired by Centred – – in December 2020.  With a current reach of 55 million+ Centred users, this offers a massive network of potential new clients to the beauty industry requesting services worldwide.  Check out Centred’s beauty, travel, fitness, wellness, culinary, and lifestyle experiences near you.

During these difficult times, Beauty Match is offering use of the app to pre-screened, selected beauty professionals at no cost.  If you are interested in being a part of this exclusive network contact Beauty Hub Magazine for more information.

How It Works for Stylists and Salons

Once the salon or stylist receives the appointment request, they have complete control over how to move forward. This includes deciding whether to answer the appointment request, creating pricing and confirming availability. BeautyMatch by Centred is currently invite-only for beauty experts to ensure quality, but in the future, Mallet plans to roll out an application for stylists nationwide. Bonus features are that it works with all software systems and the transaction can occur within the app, similar to Venmo.

How It Works for Clients

Step 1: The client creates a profile with a selfie and information about their beauty routine (services, products and more). Then, they select the city where they’re looking for hair services and the distance they’re willing to travel, and send a request through the app.

Step 2: Stylists and/or beauty experts that are a match get an alert and reach out to the client if they’re interested. Through the app, the client and beauty pro can chat about products and other details, and even send an inspiration picture before the appointment. BeautyMatch by Centred works to develop a rapport between the stylist and client before they meet, making it both easy to manage expectations for the stylist and to price the service appropriately by looking at clients’ hair texture, length and color.

Step 3: When the client and beauty expert agree on price, timing and location, simply confirm the appointment. The BeautyMatch app requires up-front payment for confirmed appointments to avoid no shows, but it is otherwise free for both clients and stylists to use.
